Fibre Optic Sensors
Fibre optic sensors are a form of proximity sensor that
feature an optical fibre connection to allow them to be used as a motion sensor, proxy sensor in restricted areas. Consisting of a fibre optic sensor and a
fibre optic cable, the optical sensor emits, receives and then transforms the
received light into an electrical signal that is interpreted and acted upon by
the rest of the control system.
