Twinaxial cable is a communication transmission cable similar to a coaxial cable, but, as the name suggests, instead of one inner core, it has two insulated wire conductors. The two centre conductors are encapsulated in a shielding, which is then enclosed by a tubular outer conductor, typically braided steel or foil. A protective sheath surrounds the entire assembly, this construction helps provide defence against low-frequency magnetic noise and reducing cable losses.
Practical and durable, Twinaxial cable is suitable for applications that require high-speed differential signalling in a short-ranged environment, such as in local area networks (LAN). Kempston Controls stocks a select range of Twinaxial cables. Give our dedicated sales team a call on +44 (0) 1933 411411 or use the contact form above to discuss your Twinaxial cable requirements.
