Timer Delay Relays
Time delay relays are basically control relays with a built-in time delay. Their operational function is to control an event determined by a particular time. The difference between a relay and a time delay relay is that when the output contacts open & close on a control relay, it occurs when voltage is applied and then removed from the coil. On time delay relays, the contacts can open or close before or after a period of time.
Time delay relays feature a variety of timing functions: On Delay, Off Delay, Single Shot, Interval, Flasher, repeat cycle and many more. The triggering of a Timer Relay is either via an applied input voltage or the closing or opening of a trigger signal. Trigger signals can be achieved in two ways, either via a control switch or via an input voltage.
Time Delay Relays are generally used in many industrial process control and consumer applications including: Lighting circuits, motor start control, safety control, conveyor belt sequence delays etc.
Kempston Controlsm, a leading supplier of electrical and electronic components, stocks an exhaustive range of Time Delay Relays for all manner of time delay applications, all sourced from the leading brands including Omron, Siemens, ABB, Tempatron, Telecontrol and many more.
