What is a Solid Link?

A Solid link is an accessory for low voltage switchgear technology that changes a fuse switch into a circuit isolator providing a safety mechanism when there is a fault within the electrical system.

A solid link based circuit isolator can then be used to break a circuit during maintenance or when a fault has occurred that requires repair. Solid links come in various shapes, orientations, and dimensions according to their function, including solid bar and bolted tag flat bar, etc. to suit the specific fuse carrier switch being used.
