A Fixed Resistor is an electrical component that is used to introduce a known resistance value in to an electrical circuit they are of a set value and cannot be physically adjusted.

Resistors come in many styles including wire wound, carbon composite, carbon film, metal film, metal oxide, foil resistor and more. Although their resistance cannot be adjusted high temperatures can affect their resistance value.
