Circular Connectors & Components

Circular connectors are found in multiple applications in many industries, typically consisting of multi-pin interconnects within a cylindrical housing with a contact interface, generally constructed from metals and plastics. Like most electrical connectors they are designed to enable signal and current transmission by pairing male contacts in one connector to the female contacts in a mating half. 

Increasingly used in electronics over rectangular connectors, circular connectors have the ability to contain more contacts in a smaller area, a space-saving and simple solution to disconnect and reconnect cables from their devices.

Circular connectors can provide the facility to house different types of contacts, allowing contacts with different current ratings to exist in the same connector, along with other options such as fibre optics and pneumatic connections.
