Kempston Controls Electronic Components Distributor of Schneider

Schneider

Schneider Electric first came into being in 1836, the Schneider brothers acquired mines and forges in Le Creusol, France, creating the company Schneider & Cie, quickly establishing themselves as major players in the steel and machine business during the later stages of the first industrial revolution. After becoming involved in the manufacture of armaments during the end of the 19th century Schneider expanded into Germany and Eastern Europe involving themselves in the steel and shipbuilding industries, eventually becoming known as the Schneider Group.

Schneider decided upon a change of direction, and during the 1970's Schneider acquired Merlin Gerin, one of the leaders in electrical distribution, going on to purchase Telemecanique, Square D and many others in the decades that followed concentrating their business on low and medium voltage supply and industrial automation and process control products.

The Schneider Group eventually changed names to Schneider Electric in 1999.  Today, keeping pace with technology, Schneider is leading the digital transformation of energy management and automation in homes and industry, providing efficiency solutions combing automation, energy and software.

Kempston Controls, as a supplier partner of Schneider, stocks an impressive range of their process automation and circuit protection products, including motor protection, MCBs, RCBs, overload relays and many more.
