The Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002 stipulates that employers eliminate or control the risks from dangerous atmospheres in the workplace. Areas that could produce potentially explosive atmospheres include paint spraying, fuel processing and factories handling fine organic dust such as grain flour or wood.
