What are
Contrast Sensors?
Contrast
sensors, a form of colour sensor or vision sensor, are utilised within the
packaging and printing industries for the detection of contrast differences in
printed or control markings. A typical contrast sensor can detect even the
smallest contrast differences at the highest of process line speeds.
What do
Contrast Sensors Detect?
Contrast sensors,
unlike colour sensors which detect a wide range of colours, detect minute
grayscale variations between the visible mark and the background substrate on
shiny, matt or transparent surfaces. Contrast sensor are available in a variety
of different contrast resolutions and some feature teach-in functionality
designed to meet every detection eventuality.
