Pushbutton Switches
Kempston Controls supplies a range of push button switches

Pushbutton switches can be large and brightly coloured or illuminated for easy identification, and come in a wide range of styles for countless functions. Industrial pushbutton installations are easy to customise and configure thanks to their modular design.
How do Pushbutton Switches Work?Found in process control and manufacturing applications, during operation they are used to complete an electrical circuit once pressed, which triggers a further operation such as shutting down a machine.
Most pushbutton switches operate in the same way, pressure is placed on the actuator, depressing the spring and closing/opening contacts which either closes or opens the circuit. Generally found in 2 types - momentary switches are on when pressed, off when released, and non-momentary (alternating) stay on when pressed and release when pressed again.
