Safety Temperature Limiter, Thermocouple Input, SPDT Relay

This safety temperature limiter STB 55 is used when there is a need to monitor thermal processes, and the plant machinery switched into a safe condition in case of a fault. Versatile, this limiter is suitable for use as a temperature limiter and exhaust gas temperature limiter. If the permissible temperature limit is reached or if a fault occurs in the monitoring equipment such as a sensor break or short circuit, failure of a component, software issues etc., the STB55 switches off immediately. The STB55 is suitable for the max/min monitoring with a latching output relay.

This versatile safety temperature limiter is easily programmed by means of the front panel keys and the graphic display. When the alarm contact is activated, the LED in the front panel and the background lighting of the display illuminate and the cause appears on the display. After the fault has been rectified, the unit is reset by pressing the front panel key or by closing an external contact. A 24 VDC signal for external alarm signalling is available at terminals 17-18.

This device can also be used for exhaust gas temperature monitoring and maximum, minimum monitoring without hold.
