They are especially user-friendly when implementing distributed HMI solutions with Client-Server architecture and can be used flexibly, from operator control and monitoring on the machine level to connecting to control systems (SCADA) and to numeric controllers (SINUMERIK). Without wearing parts, such as fans or hard disks, and equipped with die-cast aluminum fronts, SIMATIC ITCs are especially robust and maintenance-free. The devices can be almost any distance from the server system over Industrial Ethernet. A Gigabit LAN interface, integrated web browser, and a variety of supported protocols provide a high degree of flexibility and fast communication with other systems.
