ASCO Numatics
Founded in 1888, in Baltimore, Maryland USA, ASCO originally began manufacturing lift, compressor, and generator controls as their core business. At the start of the 20th century ASCO invented the solenoid valve, a new electrically operated control device that was destined to revolutionise industry. The years that followed witnessed a continual stream of innovations from two position on/off valves, air operated valves, pressure and temperature switches. Acquisitions included a manufacturer of micro-miniature solenoid valves diversifying their product range further still.

In 1985 ASCO themselves were acquired by Emerson, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of industrial control and automation products. By 2008 Emerson had merged ASCO and another of their brands, Numatics, to form ASCO Numatics, together offering an extensive range of pneumatic and flow control solutions for many industrial and commercial applications. Their product range servicing multiple industries include food and beverage and the automotive industry amongst many.
During 2016 ASCO Numatics was unified under the ASCO brand and continues to this day to be an innovative market leader in the manufacture and supply of air preparation, pneumatic valves and cylinders, solenoids, fluid control devices and many other process and control automation solutions.
