We will be closed from 29th March for the Easter Bank Holiday, re-opening Tuesday 2nd April. You can continue to purchase online but orders will not be processed until the 2nd. You may however continue to use our out-of-hours service.

Vibration Sensors

Vibration sensors can be utilised for a whole range of process control, sensory and measurement requirements and are also known as piezoelectric sensors. Vibration sensors utilise the piezoelectric effect, which is the ability of various materials to produce an electrical charge when a mechanical stress is applied to them to monitor a wide variety of processes and applications.

What do Vibration Sensors Measure?

Vibration sensors can therefore measure the changes in pressure, acceleration, temperature, strain or force of an object or material by converting these changes to an electrical charge. A vibration sensor can also be used to determine aromas in the air by measuring resonance and capacitance at the same time.

Where are Vibration Sensors used?

Versatile, motor vibration sensors are commonly used for measuring the level and frequency of vibration in motors used in industrial equipment. The measurements can then be used to detect and monitor imbalances to highlight future breakdowns. Vibration sensors are popular in many industries including food and beverage, metalworking, oil and gas, renewables, and other systems. Vibration sensors are available in numerous forms including wireless and Bluetooth vibration sensors, remote vibration sensors etc.

Kempston Controls stocks a select range of vibration sensors from market leading brands such as HoneywellPepperl + Fuchs and more designed to suit whatever your vibration sensor requirements are.
