Pressure Sensors
Pressure sensors are utilised to measure the pressure of a
liquid or a gas within a device or process control mechanism usually found
within an industrial application. A form of transducer, a pressure sensor
generates an electrical signal when pressure is imposed upon it. Pressure
sensors are used in many applications in a large range of enterprises both
commercial and domestic including automotive, medical, aviation, marine and
industrial process control.
There are several different technologies used within
pressure sensors that can influence their functionality and are available in a
variety of styles including resistive,
capacitive,
piezoelectric and more. Pressure sensors are identified by their various
functional properties including what pressure range they measure, temperature
