Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS) are
electronic devices that are used to protect electronic circuits and equipment
from sudden or momentary overvoltage conditions. Transient voltage suppressors
are very fast acting overvoltage protection devices making them suitable for
protecting against very fast voltage spikes caused by internal or external
events, such as lightning or arcing.
