What are enclosure heaters?

Enclosure Heaters are lightweight air conditioning units designed for use in electrical cabinets and small spaces that contain electrical equipment. Highly energy efficient when in use they are the perfect climate control solution for small spaces.  

How do enclosure heaters work?

Enclosure heaters provide an evenly distributed interior air temperature to help electronic, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical other equipment perform effectively. This is achieved by protecting their operating environments against low temperatures, condensation and eventually, corrosion. Keeping the internal temperature of a device around five degrees higher than the ambient temperature, can help reduce the change of condensation forming. Warmer air contains more water vapour than cold air and when it is cooled it can’t retain the vapour anymore and the dew point occurs. Preventing condensation in your enclosures is very important as it could lead to expensive damage and repairs.

Enclosure Heaters typically come in roof or side-mount versions and economy-mode units use intelligent operating systems, starting and stopping the fans when needed to reduce energy use. Enclosure Heaters have limited moving parts which can help reduce vibration and are fitted with internal and external circuit protection.
