Thermostats
Thermostats
are available in a wide variety of forms including simple commercial thermostats
to more complex systems that are designed to control heating for a device,
equipment and a room or plant enclosure. Simple thermostats can be mounted on a
surface where its relevant temperature is a concern and they break electrical
contact when their preset temperature has been exceeded.
Room thermostats, as the name suggests monitor the temperature
of a room, controlling heating and cooling devices to adjust their relevant
temperature as required. Room thermostats can operate independently by
containing their own temperature sensors but can also rely on input from
additional sensors and thermostats.
