What are Interface Relays?

An interface relay module is designed to guarantee the interfacing digital control signals that are being exchanged between the processing units and other crucial automation control components are maintained. Interface relays are used with components that are isolated from each other and cannot be allowed to be directly connected due to differences in their voltage.

Interface relay modules are provided with galvanic isolation between the final and receiving control systems of the interface relay which protects the signals from interference. Where are Interface Relays used?

A general-purpose relay module has some level of isolation between output and input circuits, but this function is only secondary and isn’t decisive.
