SIMATIC S7-1500 Modular Control System CPU
SIMATIC S7-1500 is a modular control system for a wide variety of automation applications in discrete automation and is a cost-effective and convenient automation solution for a broad range of industrial tasks. This CPU unit is suitable for a wide range of applications including special purpose machinery, textile and packaging machines, machine tools, automotive applications and food and beverage.
The Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 central processing unit features a capable 500 KB of work memory for programs and an additional 3 MB of memory for data. Communication interfaces include a PROFINET IRT with 2-port switch, and a PROFINET RT with 30 ns bit performance.
For effective commissioning, diagnostics and fast optimisation of drives and controls, the SIMATIC S7-1500 controller offers extensive trace functions for all CPU tags. In addition to drive integration, the SIMATIC S7-1500 controller has a PID compact closed-loop controller, easy-to-configure blocks allow automatic optimisation of the controller parameters for control quality. When performing servicing, you can minimise plant downtimes by quickly accessing the diagnostics alarms.
